We will be happy to advise you on buying or selling art, antiques, jewelry and classic design without obligation. Our publicly appointed and sworn experts not only have the specialist knowledge, but also the experience to value a work or property in line with the market. We are also happy to help you with the valuation of collections or estates and can offer a comprehensive service for liquidation and sale: simply arrange a home visit.
The consultation is free of charge – however, if a written appraisal is requested, a fee of 3-5% of the appraised value will be charged. We use both traditional and new methods to market your property: in addition to presenting the goods in our spacious rooms on Mittelweg and including them in the print catalog, all items are offered online on major international auction portals – this service is free of charge for the customer.
FAQ
-
Do you buy the pieces?
No, we take your items on commission and auction them on your behalf. This has the advantage for you that we have the same interest as you in the items achieving the highest possible price in the auction. The commission is only payable in the event of a knockdown and amounts to 22% plus VAT, i.e. a total of 26.18% of the sale price. There are no catalogue fees or return fees.
-
How can I offer/show you my pieces?
You can either come to the auction house with your items during our opening hours or send us photos by email. We are also happy to arrange viewings at your premises should you wish to offer several items or an entire household.
-
How long do the pieces remain in the auction house if they could not be sold?
We offer the unsold items in the auction for at least 4 weeks in the so-called free sale. After 8 weeks we ask you to pick up the items again.
